After deep reflection, we have decided to cancel all gatherings at La Basse Cour, including farm stays, farm tours,
events, and workshops until there is more certainty about Covid 19.

Our eggs and yarn are for sale in our milk house, and our vegetables in season on our farm stand.
Please practice social distancing and wear your mask if you come to the farm. You may read our Covid 19 Safety Plan for more information.

We will be none the less busy, tending the land and animals entrusted to our care.
See what we're up to by following us on Facebooksubscribing to our newsletter, and reading our blog posts.
You are in our thoughts and we look forward to sharing many joyful events at La Basse Cour.

Design & Knit Your Own Fair Isle Style Hat - 2-Day Workshop

Our first two-day workshop at Kortright Handworks at La Basse Cour! Julie will be leading the program, you will design and knit your own Fair Isle style hat. All materials are included, yarn from our own sheep at La Basse Cour and notions from The Sheeps' Nest in Hobart. I'll be serving farm-to-table lunches each day and dinner on Saturday evening, made with ingredients from our nearby farmer friends. We'll also take a field trip to The Sheeps' Nest and to Creative Corner Books and the Hobart Book Village. Make it a weekend or an overnight and take a room with us in our Bed & Breakfast!

To maximize your enjoyment and the enjoyment of all the participants, please be sure you can cast on, knit and purl. If you would like some help with these knitting basics in advance, Julie is happy to get you ready for the workshop.
